2/ Indo*China - epic ethnocentrism

Something is awaited. Indochina - what an ethnocentric conception! Feels a bit lost within the awkward set of global, i.e. "Western" neoliberal-imerialism - put over the old ones: the Chinese Confucianist culturo-political order and Indian culturo-religious chaos. Add anti-hegemony mouvements incl. communisms à la Ho-Chi-Minh, which are not mutually exclusive with nationalisms. And so much more.

Just wait for it.

okay so this is a celebration of the "Chinese New Year" in Paris, 13 arr. (so called "quartier Chinois" or simply "Chinatown"). Is it a "cultural shock"? "cultural resistance", a "cultural revival" ? a "cultural fusion",a "cultural reinvention"? a "cultural appropriation"...?

Chinese New Year holds as much meaning as people are willing to invest in it, much like the question of Lao Tzu’s existence
